Sr Thandiwe Joyce Msimango born and raised in Vryheid, Northern KwaZulu-Natal, now resides in Inanda, Durban. She completed her nursing training at St Mary’s Hospital, Mariannhill, and worked at Osinsidweni Hospital. She continued her nursing career at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital where she obtained her Diploma in nursing and midwifery. She also obtained the Best Tutors floating trophy award. Sr Msimango has worked at different hospitals in eThekweni until her retirement. Sr Thandiwe is currently enjoying her role as a Palliative Care Professional Nurse as this gives her an opportunity to combine all her experience over the years and continue to learn and grow in her field. She is currently enrolled with PatchSA Paediatric Palliative Care course. She enjoys spending her spare time with her two grandchildren who mean the world to her, and she is actively involved in her church.
