Umduduzi Hope Chest

One of the primary motivations behind the opening of the thrift shop was to address the pressing needs of the community. Many individuals and families face financial hardships that make it difficult to afford basic necessities. By offering affordable, gently used items, the Umduduzi Hope Chest aims to alleviate some of these burdens, allowing people to access clothing, household goods, and various other essentials without the strain of excessive costs.

All proceeds from the Umduduzi Hope Chest thrift shop are directed towards supporting children and families that need palliative care. We accept donations of good quality second hand or new clothing, shoes, crockery, toys, children’s books, puzzles and games.
